Luca Anacoreta Biography
Luca Anacoreta was born on May 13, 1989 in Rome – Italy.
Anacoreta started training jiu jitsu at the age of 10, influenced by his brother (Fabio) who had visited the coastal city of Natal in Brazil, where he picked up a few classes at Kimura – Nova Uniao.
Fabio became very impressed with Brazil’s grappling style and soon found an academy in Rome where he could train. Luca followed his brother, giving start to their jiu jitsu activities on April 2006, at Rogerio Olegário’s gym.
As a purple belt Luca opened his own academy – Aeterna Jiu Jitsu, combining coaching with a busy competition schedule. His hard work paid off on July 2013 when he was promoted to black belt by Olegário.
After receiving his black belt Luca joined forces with Bruno Frazatto, under whom he became one of the most active (and successful) athletes in the European jiu jitsu circuit.
