UAEJJF Weight Limit Explanation + New Female Weight Limit – Official Statement
On the 22nd of May 2016 the UAEJJF released a new directive that limited male athletes to a 110kgs. This position caused plenty of debate among jiu jitsu fans, but lacked an official explanation. We met with UAEJJF’s officials to understand the reasoning behind this measure, and found of new rules to be expected for 2017, which include a limit on the women’s division also.
