Cícero Costha

Cícero Costha is a respected Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach and former top competitor in the black belt featherweight division. Cicero Costha received the rank of black belt in BJJ training under the guidance of Marco Barbosa, having gone to create his own team under his name. A strong competitor of his own merit, Costha slowly gained his space and notoriety as an instructor from his gym in Ipiranga – State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, having brought to BJJ competitors such as Leandro Lo and the Miyao brothers.

Eduardo “Jamelão” Conceição

Eduardo “Jamelão” da Conceição is a historical Jiu Jitsu black belt under Romero Cavalcanti. Famed for being the “enfant terrible” of the Alliance team for years, Jamelao won several important titles such as the Brazilian National and beat some of the best fighters of his generation, people like Nino Schembri, Fernando Margarida, Jean Jacques Machado and many others.

Leka Vieira

Leka Vieira is one of the most important figures in the history of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, being the first female black belt World Champion of the sport (1999), Leka took women’s BJJ to the next level raising awareness to that side of the sport, paving the way to the new generation. She was also the first known woman to graduate another woman with the black belt in Jiu Jitsu (Cindy Omatsu).

Marcos Escobar

Marcos Escobar is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Leonardo Castello Branco, having competed and medalled in several important tournaments such as the Pan American, the Brazilian National Teams championship and the Brazilian Cup. He has also been one of the propellers of BJJ in the Asian Continent since 2005.

Beatriz Mesquita

Beatriz Mesquita, also known as Bia Mesquita, is an exciting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under the legendary Leticia Ribeiro. Being pointed as the next big thing in women’s Jiu Jitsu when she was still a teenager, Beatriz Mesquita has cemented her status as one of the greatest grapplers of her generation by achieved numerous BJJ titles such as the World Nogi Championship and the Pan American title before even reaching her black belt status.
